For a no-fuss moisturizer that carries its weight in skin nourishing factors, turn to our Baobab Marula Oil, which can be applied to the face and scalp. The two oils replenish active skin without clogging pores and protect skin from extreme environmental swings (hot/cold, wet/dry). This is also a formula that has been used throughout time to smoothe and condition hair and beards. The combination of baobab and marula has a natural affinity for skin, floating through to promote a luminous, lustrous complexion. As part of our face oil series, our baobab & marula oil falls into this special group of products that are perfectly suited for younger skin and those who are not looking for the complexities of a serum.

Great for some

I am always looking for ways to keep my scalp moisturized, since it gets dry and itchy between washes, so I tried this serum out. Unfortunately my skin didn't react well to it. Not everyone will be a fan of the earthy smell, but I think this would work well for some skin types.

great moisturizer

It moisturizes my dry mature skin - leaving it soft and dewy - I also put it in my hair - The dry mountain air really takes a toll and this oil really combats the harsh dryness - love it

This gives hydration without the grease on your hair and skin. I find it is one of the best oils I have tried.

Giving it time.

For great moisture in our Colorado dry climate I apply this skin oil under my moisture cream. I feel it protects my skin without clogging pores and I use it under my eyes for added moisture. I am trying it out to see if it is better than my go-to first choice of Leaf People's Green Tea oil. At this time, I have not used it long enough to know; however, I do know that I am not a fan of this scent.

Hi Kat,
Thank you so much for taking the time to write a few reviews for us. I truly appreciate it. I hope the baobab and marula oils deliver the result you are looking for. I know the scent is a little more earthy, that is due to the inherent smell of the oils themselves (they are raw, virgin presses) and the medicinal essential oils that are added but hopefully that will grow on you, if not, please let us know and we can exchange it out for another face oil. We want you to enjoy your products! :)

I also want to touch base regarding the difference between the green tea serum and the baobab oil blend, since you are looking to compare the two. The green tea serum is infused with several medicinal botanicals, therapeutic oils and essential oils so it is much more active in supporting various issues with the skin (brightness, nutrient replenishment, evening skin tone, sun damage, detoxing, supporting skin resilience and balancing oil production). The baobab marula blend is excellent for hydration, replenishing fat soluble vitamins and antioxidants and overall nourishment. I typically recommend the straight oils for younger clientele or clients who have not had any major skin issues (skin cancer, pre-cancer, moles or acne) and are looking to hydrate, nourish and maintain good skin tone. For those who have already had challenges with their skin, the green tea serum is typically better suited.

Follow up: we exchanged her product for the green tea face serum.
