The Longevity Playbook: 100 Daily Choices That Can Add Years to Life

25 experts share 100 simple, consistent habits that can profoundly impact your healthspan.

1. Prioritize good sleep.

Quality sleep supports everything else you do, and it’s one of the most overlooked daily choices. I try to keep evenings as screen-free as possible. If I can’t fall asleep, I simply rest, sometimes I put on 432 hertz music, and let my mind quiet down. It’s like my own late night sound bath!

2. Stay hydrated with water.

It sounds simple, but it’s transformative. Many of us think we’re hydrating with tea, coffee, or flavored drinks, but nothing replaces plain water. Keeping hydration steady throughout the day changes how your body and mind feel.

3. Choose kinder self-talk.

Speak to yourself as if you are the person you love most in this world. Your internal dialogue shapes your energy, your choices, and how you show up for yourself. When you shift your self-talk, everything else begins to shift with it.

4. Hold a vision of your most vibrant self.

I often imagine myself in my best form: rested, nourished, grounded, loved, and loving. Bringing that version of myself into the day influences how I move, how I make decisions, and even how I relate to others. And, on nights when I have trouble sleeping, returning to that image helps settle my wandering mind.

5. Breathe deep and often.

A true and full breath can reconnect you to yourself. I love consciously taking in the air — the scent of the world and the energy around me — and letting it flow through my body. It’s a simple act of awareness that brings clarity, presence, and a sense of engagement to everything. I often think of how a bird moves through the sky, and how the same air it’s gliding through is the air moving in and out of my lungs. That image reminds me of the larger rhythm we’re all part of, and it helps me connect to it.
